InnerSpace LEED / Green Perspective
Save space
Lower your footprint:
- Increase worker and capital productivity
- Stay in your current facility
Increase the use of recycled and renewable materials:
- Steel is the most recycled material on the planet and provides the greatest flexibility
- Recycled plastic and phenolic use recycled materials and provide a long, rust-free life
- FSC certified wood is:
- more sustainably grown and harvested,
- more renewable than steel or plastic,
- down-cycle-able, and compostable.
Plan for the future:
- Modular building products are:
- reconfigurable,
- re-usable and re-locatable,
- less disruptive to occupants on install and reconfiguration,
- cleaner with less on-site waste
- Proper design and integration with lighting and workflow can greatly increase productivity
- Buy only what you need and make sure it will last as long as you need
- Consider the end-of-use scenario for all purchases:
- Reuse (best)
- Recycle (good)
- Landfill (poor)
InnerSpace provides space-saving and productivity solutions that are affordable and durable while minimizing the impact we might have on future generations’ ability to meet their needs.

Other considerations in green building and sustainable development:
- Typically employee productivity rises rapidly after greener designs are implemented. This was the case for DOW chemical and many other large corporations where productivity gains and reduced sick days provided ROI's far greater than predicted.
- Whole systems thinking is the best approach. Be sure to consider as many implications as you can think of. Sometimes what seems greener at first ends up disappointing. On the other hand, if small steps are coordinated the benefits can be greater than predicted.
